AquaDam Mobile Flood Barriers
Water filled temporary dams, or cofferdams, have been around since the mid 1980s. When filled with flood water an AquaDam becomes an effective flood barrier with the ability to contour uneven ground. The advantages of AquaDam are in terms of low acquisition and ownership costs, simplicity and super high storage density. Stored loose, a kilometre flood barrier can be stored in a single 40ft shipping container.

The principal applications for AquaDam are as mobile flood barriers and construction cofferdams. Flood Protection users are predominately government agencies, businesses and residential communities. We hope to engage with NGOs. Construction applications typically involve the creation of a temporary works area in lakes, sewers and other water courses to allow construction and repairs eg. culvert relining, fish pass installations, lake liner replacement, bank repairs etc. For construction dams see
